Stephanie Powers is the sole therapist of Birthing Bodywork formerly known as Middlebury Massage. She has been practicing Massage Therapy since 1999 after receiving her training at Northeastern Institute of Whole Health and original license in the state of New Hampshire. She is a licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Movement Teacher, Certified Labor Doula (CAPPA) and a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner.  Her early career as a ballet dancer and teacher offers an in-depth knowledge of movement and its importance to connecting the body as a whole. This relationship is at the core of her practice.

By facilitating balance for her clients through prenatal coaching and bodywork she brings ease and confidence to the process of birth and beyond. Her understanding, sharing, and teaching of the connection between bodywork and birth provides families with tools to work with and benefit from; Both in how we cope with labor and how we approach our bodies during the perinatal time.

Stephanie also co-founded the Riverside Doula Collective in 2018 and is a proud member of her local Addison County birthing community. Her greatest joy is working with families before birth to guide them toward their own empowering birth experience informed and in a prepared body.

Stephanie lives in Cornwall Vermont with her three daughters and husband.
